Media Merab talks how Khamzat Chimaev Got Subbed by Roman Dolidze

Roman turned out to be way more terrifying on the ground/off his back than I ever expected despite his credentials -- especially for such a big dude. The memory of the way he immediately transitioned from being taken down by Hawes to striking like a snake to snatch up his leg and ruin poor Phil's knee will forever make me cringe. That and how he clowned Hermansson on the mat, especially since Jack has a solid list of accomplishments in MMA grappling, too.

i would imagine people get subbed all the time in training , it's part of the process
Exactly. I've been subbed by white belts before.
And I was a blue belt when I subbed my first black belt. Like you said, it's training. Happens all the time.

Dolidze is huge, and he's also extremely talented. What's so hard to grasp that he caught khamzat in a submission? Especially in practice???

Yeah Dolidze FUCKs guys on the ground

What ever happened to the notion of there being no honor in talking about what happens in training? It's weaksauce. imo
Old school versus new school. Old school this was the exception… new school it’s the norm.
