"Listen on top of the 10k contract, we also allow them to keep the fight kits they wear during the fights on the Contender Series. Ya know we could be washing them and reusing them on other shows..."

North Korea says hold my beer.

Back in '95, the Pyongyang International Sports and Culture Festival for Peace took place at their May Day Stadium in Pyongyang, North Korea. This was a two-day event that was a co-promotion between Ted Turner and Antonio Inoki.

By all accounts well over 300,000 attended.

The participants were treated well and fed very well, although guarded almost all the time. This led to a famous story, where at a dinner there, while sitting among many dignitaries from several nations, the one true GOAT of combat sports, Muhammad Ali himself, kinda just blurted out, ”No wonder we hate these motherfuckers!”

Yeah but the gate was also 0.

It is true, boxing is massive sport, way more money and criminals there.

Stephen Espinoza though... looks to be out of a job soon and Dana doing better and better. Pay is Combat sports is Boxing #1, then MMA, then KB then the lowest pay is MT.
