Beat Jacoby though and I think Jacoby has looked better than Volkan lately. If Volkan is more than a +150 dog I think he’s worth a bet

Gonna favor Murdakanov here. Volkan hasn't looked all that good in a while; even in what should have been a lay-up against Craig his performance was solid but a bit lackadaisical IMO. I expect Azamat's pressure, greater finishing potential, and ability to mix in offensive takedowns to be telling here. At one time I would have been worried about his output, but he seems to have addressed that issue in his last couple of bouts. Volkan might possess the edge in cardio, though.

It's still bonkers to me that Azamat went from looking like a mediocre, borderline busted prospect against Nchukwi to looking like an absolute unassailable world-beater in his next two fights against pretty stiff opposition.

2023 Volkan is chinny and Murzakanov throws bricks as long as his cardio holds up. Should be a clear-cut way to keep new blood progessing in the LHW top 15, which Below the #5 spot could turnover abruptly in the next year or so.
