I will be that guy. The first drop looked like he was out and the second one was similar even though he popped right back up. Shitty visual for the ref, but I see why he intervened.

Stoppage was understandable, when the guy dropped straight down, for the second time — but it clearly was premature when he bounced right up, his eyes were clear, and he was still willing to go.

I understand why the referee jumped in — but he should've jumped back out.

Instead the ref completed the stoppage, which robbed both fighters of a true result, quite frankly.

Can't necessarily shit on the ref, as he is operating in real time, and he tried to do the right thing based on optics; but instant replays show it was a premature stoppage, with the benefit of hindsight.

Ref saw his eyes roll back and still let him get dropped a second time before calling it. I didn’t like it at first, but it looked ugly on the replay. He was gettin fucked up for sure.

<{clintugh}>

Not the worst stoppage but not the best. I think the ref should have waited a little longer but he got rocked 3 times in a row in just a few seconds. Also it looks like the ref was already running in to stop it before Erosa bounced back up seemingly perfectly fine, if the ref could see the future he would have let the fight continue, but at that exact moment he ran in to stop the fight it seemed like Erosa was out, you can even hear the commentators say "hes out"

Edit: also lol at you guys linking a twitter post that links to another twitter post that got taken down for copyright

Way too early, but what do we expect with squeamish Hollywood suits owning and investing in the company.
