Tyson was a phenom in boxing because he was an excellent student who followed instructions well under a legendary trainer. His explosiveness was perfect for boxing but MMA is different that requires more versatility, agility, and different martial art backgrounds especially an emphasis in grappling.
Mike said he wouldn't have done well because he would've tapped to foot stomps.

Totally True. Decades of different styles of boxing offense and defense study was available, and absorbed, by Mike. MMA was too new of a sport for Mike to learn and to train to the extent that he did in boxing.he has some aspects that would favor him, if he had been in the early UFCs he def would have won a few of those...but the way he was trained for boxing,was to be a student of a very old game. MMA is very young,and it would be very different to train for MMA like he trained for boxing.
