How Can There Be Such a Huge Discrepancy in the Rankings Between Rankingmma and the UFC?

In the latest rankings, updated since last Saturday, the UFC ranks Bruce Leeroy # 15 in the UFC featherweight division. Rankingmma ranks him # 25 among UFC featherweights.

Bonus Question: Which rankings system (UFC, rankingmma, fightmatrix, sherdog, ?) are you most in agreement with?

It's all subjective really. Fighter A can be #15, beat #7, they become #3. Fighter B can be #15, beat #7, they become #10. There's no rhyme or reason.

Because Rankings like so much are perceptional and/or based on Org favoritism and monotary gain.



I laugh at pretty much everyone's rankings - cut and paste shit with little meaning. Really ok now and then as a guideline as long as you are using multiple sites and something like fightmatrix...

Only two rankings I sometimes look at are Sherdog's and UFC's. Sherdog's for where they probably actually do rank. UFC for upcoming fights.

UFC has Alex Caceres ranked above Ryan Hall, Andre Fili, Cub Swanson and Lando Vannata. Seems like they are rewarding his win streak over other fighters who have lost recently.

ufc ranking are made be a panel of media selected by the ufc so its not without reason to think they can be biased toward certain fighter example being conor still in the top 10 dispise is last win in the division going back to 2016

For which one has the best ranking I usually like fightmatrix the most and mmajunkie also has a decent list. I look normally at where they rank Mckee, Pitbull, Gegard, Amosov, ray cooper 3, Lima, Nemkov, Corey Anderson, Adriano Moraes and DJ (if they rank them for FLW instead of BW) also I look for unproven hypetrain and washed up fighter and their placement in the ranking like tony or wonderboy since they are way past their prime now
