There's been some debate on this, but nothing definitive.

There's no way you can afford a massive gym and pay for your teams training camps and 5 star accommodations, sign named fighters for your own promotion (which looks to have good production values) ect. on the 40 million net worth he supposedly has, which is great money, but not nearly enough to do what he's doing

He's always in pics with Dana and all these rich middle easterners and political figures as well and he still gets mentioned on the UFC all the time and is seen on events, which is uncommon for a retired fighter. Usually the UFC erases people after they retire.

The speculation is past russian money, and now oil arab money. Plus the est $50M he made in his last 3 fights. Idk. Dana says he has serious backers. All you need is one oil sheik that doesn’t give a shit about a cpl hundred million. Or a few that can piss away $50M each and not care.

IIRC Khabib was backed by a Russian billionaire earlier in his career but that guy went to prison or something like that. Now Khabib has made his own money through fighting and endorsements.

It is well known that khabib made a lot of investment too in telecommunications towers and mobility compagnie in Russia. He might be an oligarch now ?!

I think it is all backs and none of his own money. His the figurehead and gets a small percentage of eagle ownership in return, like Dana did when UFC started.

He’s the greatest MMA fighter of all-time and he happens to be Muslim. Of course they’re going to back him.
Yeah I think you're on to something, he's considered a muslim hero, and their wealthy are very generous to him.

There's no such thing as goat though,

only a JBG "The Duke"

He also lives more of a traditionally Muslim lifestyle(although fighting could be considered haram), making him even more of an icon.

There are other Muslim stars who don’t follow the strict principles of Islam. Mo Salah has been criticized for this, for example.
