For any of you who don't know the background to this, during a pre-fight face-off between DC and Jon Jones, all hell broke loose as they got into a scuffle. Fast forward 4 months later, and Jon Jones has a face-off with his next opponent, Rumble Johnson. Dana White is right there in the middle when the two face off...

Felt like those days would be forever, didn't it.

Fuck you, USADA for making manlets king.

It really did. Jones, Gus, Rumble, Davis, Bader were relatively young it felt like we'd have great fights for years to come. When you see the fighters slowly get old I guess you see it coming but in this case it was a total shock.

I would say that the golden age of LHW was before this.

While it had moved away from the big 4 it transitioned seamlessly into the Jones era with a bunch of exciting new fighters. LHW from 2007 to 2015 was one big party even if I guess you could split it into 2 parts. The first part came to it's natural conclusion the second one not so much. Jones never got to fight Rumble or Davis and while we got the Gus rematch it was anticlimatic af.

Still think Rumble was a terrible matchup for Jones at this particular time. Remember that overhand right Rumble dropped DC with? That shit was designed for Jones.
I'm still pissed rumble quit against dc the way he did. He didn't even try and legit gave the fight away.

Yeah the dissapointment was huge. That's the last thing you wanna see in titlefights. I think ever since Jones had to pull out Rumble just went with the motions. I noticed it with the interviews, his energy just sounded different.

Still no excuse for his gameplan vs DC in the rematch. The hell was that?

That's Crumble for you and I kept telling people DC was going to choke him out. Again.

The rematch is legit what I mean. He legit just drove right in to give DC the fight from the start. Was so strange. No other way to put it that he legit threw the fight.
