Dana White role not the same. Not as involved and more of a company spokesperson these days

At press conferences reporters will ask straight forward questions and dana sometimes doesn't know the answers to simple stuff and will pause look over to his side at one of his people for some confirmation before he says anything. Before ufc got bought dana was on top of everything.

Do you think dana of 10 years ago would agree to do this type of ongoing segment?

Not hating on the guy just saying his role doesn't seem the same

Dana White delegates most of the day to day operations

Hunter Campbell directly oversees most of high profile contracts

Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard oversee all the matchmaking and they handle lower level contracts

Tracy Long oversees athlete relations.

Duncan French oversees the Performance Institute

Kevin Chang oversees Asian expansion

Andrew Schleimer does all the numbers and finances

Adam Taylor is the man in charge of production and content creation

Disclaimer: This speculation gathered from spending unhealthy amounts of times researching the UFC’s buisness side

Clearly there was a major change after the WME acquisition which paints Dana in a better light I feel like as we see other people fucking it all up instead of him and it seems maybe all the money and fake snow has helped him loosen up a bit too

Yes, looks like that. It's a massive company compared to Spike days, so makes sense. He's good with the press and hyping, so does that.

WME-IMG-Endeavor/Disney bless.

Dana got his bag. He's the figurehead who makes some decisions.
exactly. similar in any other huge business. I am sure elon musk is more worried about preparing for his earnings call with analysts than the details of how the lithium batters will get an eaxtra 20 miles of range or charge 8 minutes faster

That explains why the match making is incredible now.

It is as good as Joe Silva mm or better

I think he is similar to Vince McMahon in the sense that he only really cares or deals with the big fights

I'm sure he is still very influential there, but yeah, definitely different than it used to be

Correct. Before his friends owned the company and now its a part of a giant public company which is why the "dANa sHoUld pAy fIgHtErS mOrE" threads are comically funny

They think all the money goes directly into Dana's bank account lmao

Everybody who knows enough to complain about the revenue split from all of the information disclosed from the antitrust suit has known that Dana has never actually been in charge of the company.

Dana gets brought up the most in those discussions because he's the one who always gets trotted out to defend robbing the fighters.

2 big things note. The first his no longer a co-owner the company and a CEO/Spokesman. This changes his relationship with the company. I mean they are even name their shoes after him (DWCS) because his so well known. The second is the company has undergone growth at a dramatic rate. They have more staff, more fights and more events. This makes it harder to be on top of everything. If you don't delegate you will just go crazy and stop the growth of the company.

nah, Vince is way more involved in the WWE going ons than Dana is with the UFCs. Vince has always been a micromanager. he's the reason why people hate WWE so much because he's lost touch with the fanbase around the attitude era and has consistently buried guys so they never get their chance to make it big.

i like that this thread has shown rational thinking people who actually try to understand what's going on instead of the absolute sheep that just constantly scream "DANA RIPS OFF FIGHTERS FOR MORE SNOW ON HIS DRIVEWAY" into an echo chamber of likeminded parrots.
