Definitely interested in that fight but I don’t think that’s the best option right now. Aldo should be fighting for the next title shot against Dillashaw. Cruz should fight one of the top 5 guys coming off a loss (Font or Sandhagen).

If these two don't fight each other though there's a couple of other matchups available for them.

That's a great fight too! I do think TJ should fight another contender if he wants to challenge for the title IMO and Aldo makes a lot of sense.

Who do you Cruz should fight below him? There's Vera, O'Malley or Simon that I could think of.

Vera deserves another shot at a top guy after going 1-1 against Aldo/Frankie and a win Cruz would put him in the argument for the next number 1 contender fight.
O'malley won't sign against Cruz. he had the Frankie fight offered first and wouldn't take it.

Simon lost to Faber, so a fight against Criuz would also be good.
Cruz loses to Vera, but could beat the other two.

Maybe O'malley vs Cruz for the battle of the most brittle UFC fighter on the roster, but it has to be a 5 rounder.

I think Dominick's relentless pace and bottomless gas tank would be too much for Aldo but that’s assuming Dom would come to the fight at least 75% of what he was in his prime.

I think Aldo's power carries him to the win. I don't think he will be scared of Dom's power and will just blast away with inside combos.
Aldo also has a good ground game that gets slept on. The size is too much for Dom.
