Does anybody have clip/media for this fight? I missed it and I don't have fight pass.

Alvarez had been looking very impressive resume-wise, 19-2 but all of his wins are via finishes. Crazy. Despite the losses, that 100% finishes rate is on the equal caliber of Khamzat and Rakhmonov.

I think I missed a lot of Ismagulov fights. Looking at the record: 20-1, going with 4-0 record in UFC is impressive.

So I wonder how Ismagulov beats Alvarez.

Been following Joel for his entire career. Everything was off in this fight: Timing, aggression, precision, speed,... He was called in as a late replacement with short notice and rushed to make weight, being a big boy that really affected his conditioning... also, according to him, he was really in awe when he got in the arena as he was used to fight for a crowd of maybe 1000-1500. Regardless, Damir clearly oustruck him, won the fight and that was it.
HOWEVER: Joel got like zero damage and was back training just as soon as he got back to Spain and Damir got his leg mangled and was sent to a hospital. Don't sleep on Joel's power at 155: In his worst showing he can still fuck anyone up.

So off night overall. Damir is on 14 fight wins streak (including outside UFC) but yeah, he hasn't finished anyone in UFC.

Record-wise Alvarez resume looks like post-Felder Charles Oliveira: power+submission threat, 16 wins via submissions

Yes, he has a lot of subs, but that has more to do with him being taken down by his rivals when they get kicked. He's usually the taller guy so it's only natural for the shorter guys to shoot for takedowns when it gets tougher standing up.

Ismagulov oustruck him.you can find the fight on daily motion. Alvarez looked extremely tentative and off as an above poster mentioned; he certainly didn't perform to the best of his ability at the time and he's also improved a lot since.

Alvarez was also getting wrestled and mounted by Danillo Belluardo. I guess something clicked on him at that moment as he reversed the position, finished Belluardo instantly and is on 1st round finish streak ever since.
