One thing i really dislike is when figher personalities get in the way of the call. Things like Bisping bringing up his own achievements mid fight, Dom talking over the main play by play to make a point and the two color commentators having long arguments mid fight.

At the moment the main line up looks like

Jon Anik | Joe Rogan | DC - here i like the mix of banter / comedy between the two color guys and I feel DC is happy to leave ego at the door for the sake of the call but only to Joe and not Dom or Bisping. While Anik runs the ship, Joe Rogan speaks on the intricacies of BBJ where DC does that for the wresting.

Removing Joe we are left with say;

- DC
- Dom Cruz
- Felder
- Bisping

Jon Anik | DC | ???

??? over the weekend was Bisping, imo his best personality features is his ball bustings / banter and when he tries to play the clean role he struggles. If something was said and he doesn't agree with it like Dom Cruz he won't let it go and will put ego over call. With that in mind he and Dom Cruz shouldn't be paired with DC. I think there's only room for 1 ball buster / man child so to speak and that should stick with DC

On the current roster we are left with;

Jon Anik | DC | Felder

I really like Felder as he has the quick witt and know how but if anything i feel he lacks the analysis skill of Dan Hardy, he will tell you what position they are in and what they are looking for but he won't go into the subtleties like Joe Rogan. Dan Hardy will imo and i feel with a team minus Joe Rogan he really should be in there or at least a back up to Felder.

Joe is coming back. Dana has made it clear his back to work when he wants.

I never put merit into what Dana says, we don't know what was said and why Joe wasn't at the last event, but yeah lets see moving forward, hoping he does come back. What concerns me is he's said for a while he was planning to move away from it and maybe something over the last couple weeks has made him think that time is now hence he wasn't at the event. Time will tell.

Is there any way to disable commentary?

I might even put the Spanish commentary on, because I don't speak Spanish. I'll just pretend I'm at a Mexican bar

Mute button? besides that without muting the entire event i don't think you can specifically mute the commentary (not on the services i use at least)

The idea spotify will back him and the UFC won't is lol.

Also Joe hasn't really done anything controversial while in his UFC gig and doesn't make silly offensive comments like on his podcast.

I want the sounds of the fight, to hear how hard shots land and how hard fighters are breathing. I could do without the fuckin horse shit dialogue and blatant engineered messaging.

.
These guys are fighters,you get a few in the booth and this shit will happen,unless they are chill as fuck like Randy Couture.

Dan Hardy was OK but I prefer Bisping. DC is OK at times and then horrible at others. He goes on about a guy getting a TD that does nothing after the guy gets beat on as if it evens the fight out. He is worst when it isn't Joe.

I really enjoyed Hardy on commentary.
Dude has great analysis and is a good hype man.

His call on the Holloway/Kattar fight is iconic to me. Ironically I think that was the same week he got fired.

As long as they get rid of Anik, I'm fine with any combination

We need Hardy back with full authority to call out Herb Dean when he fucks up horribly AGAIN

Hardy was solid. So dumb that they got rid of him for doing the same type of shit DC does on so many UFCs. Felder too.

I miss Dan Hardy and Brian Stann. Jimmy Smith too.
Saturdays event hopefully put Ping back to fight nights. That was so horrendously bad. His insecurity and ego know no bounds... I mean how often can you remind everyone that you beat Luke Rockhold that one time? Classless

It's all subjective. EXTREMELY subjective. Everyone likes different commentators and different combinations. And they CAN'T STAND other personalities and combinations. I personally thought last weekend's commentary "lline-up" was fine. Rogan's fine as well, although he can be overbearing.
Anik is the only one I can't stand. And I didn't like Hardy's personality much, but his insights were often the best IMO.
