So a few months ago I edited together a highlight video of the Edgar-Maynard trilogy. I spent a lot of time on it, working on this rather than my college work tbh lol. Keep in mind that besides what I have on my yt page, I've never edited vids before. So, let me know what you guys think.

Also, I forgot what that thing is called, where in a movie the song's lyrics will reflect the actions of what's happening on screen, but I used that a few times to make parts more cinematic.

One of the things I'm iffy about is the pacing, its slow at the start and really fast at the end, did anyone find it jarring or did you guys like it?

There were a couple instances where you went over two seconds between cuts. How do you expect your audience not to fall asleep?

It wasn't to keep people's focus, its a 4 minute song and there was over an hour of footage I had to cut down. You probably know that, just busting my chops

I gotta admit I just can't vibe with the music <Lmaoo>.
That's very subjective of course so not really a criticism. From what I saw it looks like you did a good job ! Especially the takedown timing with the music at the beginning that was very cool!

Nice selection of clips. Put together well. There are a few sequences where the cuts are too quick, felt like I was getting a bit dizzy. But I understand you were trying to capture the energy and frenetic pace of the action.

Good job overall dude

I agree with you about the music, but some moments got better.

I think the music is more appropriate for a training montage rather than fight highlights.

But everything pales in comparison against "Face the Pain".

Overall, pretty good job @Don't Call Me A Casual if you're new to this. What program did you use to edit?

Gott a be real here. Most of that video felt like it was on fast forward. Swapping from clip to clip in 1 second parameters is too fast imo.

However with that said the work that went in from someone who really doesn't know much about editing is commendable.

Adobe premier rush, the free version. It's pretty bad, I'm low on cash so I have to take what I can get.

Thank you guys a lot. I'm glad that even though things might not have been perfect, my effort showed through and there were things you enjoyed about it.
I a big fan of try and fail vs fail to try.

They absolute best of the best at there respective fields have failed to be perfect 1000-1. They just never gave up until they got it right that one time. Once that happens it's easy to continue to follow the path of success.

Kudos for the attempt and I look forward to seeing better offerings in the future.

Kinda moves a bit too fast, but otherwise solid, especially if you're new. As somebody with experience making highlight videos, I would recommend using Wondershare Filmora.
