There aren't any interesting story-lines anymore. No exciting up and coming prospects (the few there are, are getting unranked opponents one after another. Dana prefers to lowball the big names so the fights everybody wants to see don't get made or take years to get made when both parties are past their prime. Constant rematches for the belt. It's getting more and more boring. Wake me up when the sport gets exciting again

It’s been days for me.

TS, last weekend you missed a great fight and a sick injury in the first half of the card.

I’d never heard of any of the 4 fighters (one was from my state). And I doubt any of them had a “story line” that you oh so crave.

Interesting storylines? guess they need to hire better writers.

Nah, they just need to promote their fighters better. WME is saving money instead of trying to generate hype that's the problem. The biggest fighters in the sport are getting fucked money-wise and will leave at the first opportunity to get embarrassed by a boxer in order to get paid.

Bragging on a karate forum that you’re a casual. Big fucking deal. Are you such a social butterfly that in the middle of covid shut downs a year ago (still ongoing). That you haven’t had the free time to watch one whole card?

I had the time but there aren't more than 1 or 2 fights per ppv that are actually worth watching these days so I'll just watch the replays of those few fights the day after. Still keeping track of the results though. It's just not getting me hyped anymore. I wish they would treat their fighters better too that shit needs to stop. We'd already have seen Ngannou vs Jones if they did treat them with the minimum respect

After the what I can only assume was FOTN (but didn’t bother to Google it) they said both fighters had been “sliding into each other’s DMs”.

Now is that what the kids mean by writing?

Makes a grandpa like me be all like:

Card quality is down.
It's about the brand now and not the fighters or fans. They get paid the same.

It's like if you are a construction company and all your set price contracts now go to hourly contracts. Start bringing in the $15/hour cheap labor.
