After losing to Brendan Allen, Sam Alvey is now 0-7-1 in his last 8 fights, tying BJ Penn for the longest winless streak prior to release. Why do you think Alvey is still in the UFC?

Possible asterisk / mitigating factors in his recent fights

- Brendan Allen: Short notice replacement opponent
- Wellington Turman: Poked him in the eye repeatedly
- Julian Marquez: was the "Fight of the Night"
- Da Un Jung: Draw but arguably an Alvey win

Who gives a flying fuck? Dana does what he wishes regarding Alvey...

He's entertaining and comes to bang every fight and probably fights for like 1200 to show

Somewhat known name (amongst hardcores) to pad out cards. Company man that takes short notice fights, doesn’t complain, and doesn’t get paid a ton.

You guys remember when it was 3 straight losses and it was basically guaranteed cut? Wish they’d go back to that and trim the fat.

i’m old enough to remember when steve cantwell somehow was able to lose 5 in a row before getting cut and it seemed unheard of

He always accepts whatever fight the UFC offers him, including short-notice fights and last-minute opponent changes.

The poll should say choose all that apply.
