First of all, if you are one of those people who don't believe in P4P, or you don't understand the concept, or you just hate it, then please exit now.
Now as far as Usman is concerned, there is no doubt that the man is damned good and perhaps still growing. But when I think of P4P best or most skilled, I think of someone with a more diversified skillset.
The phrase in Basketball nowadays is "he's in his bag". Basically meaning the player has a lot of go to moves and tricks up his sleeve.
Now comparing Usman to past greats like GSP and Anderson Silva. I'm sure Usman would be a tough fight and he could probably get a win over those guys on his best day. But as far as skills and tools go, it seemed that those guys had a lot more in their bag.
Now obviously it doesn't matter how many tricks one has but rather what is most effective so I could be completely wrong here and most might disagree with me.
