Cliffs under Construction

-During the 3 month lock out he stayed fit; his roommate trained him
-Hates long layovers
-He loves the danger of fighting; wants more dangerous hobbies in the future
-Gives his title run an A- Grade
-He farts mid interview
-Didn’t follow game plan during first fight
-Says he humbled Robert for talking shit
-Says Rob has an ego; Doesn’t buy Rob’s new clarity
-Thinks people are overvaluing Robert’s last few fights
-He was not impressed by Robert’s last three performances
-Izzy gives his prediction for the fight but censors it

Just hyping up a fight that is pretty straight forward imo. Will be another KO for Izzy. Rob should try to drop back down to 170 after this

Rob will need to fight his absolute best like against Kelvin. He had a close fight with Till.

Kelvin was his most recent fight though. Whereas Till was immediately after losing the title.

Just Izzy creating his own narrative.. that's his job..

Rob never talked shit in the lead up to the last fight, while Izzy was pretty rude / antagonistic..

Rob's last three fights were impressive, but he didn't show enough that he could beat Izzy.. Rob doesn't have a huge amount of power, and consistently outpointing Izzy over five rounds will be impossible..

Rob's only chance is to beat him on the ground, don't think Rob has the size to keep him down or finish him there..

He might not ever beat Israel but he's still better than anyone else in the division. I think that cut to 170 would be unnecessary and detrimental to his chin. There's still a few matchups for him I'd like to see such as Vettori and Costa.

What is that little mark/scar thing next to his lip? don't recognise that growth before.. lol

What's the point of fighting at 185 if he can't get the belt there? I agree with you that he's a level above the rest, and I think most people feel the same way. So why stay at 185? it proves nothing. I want to see him at 170. He would be a tough fight for Colby and maybe Usman

Is that his brother conducting the interview?

He’s not wrong, Rob hasn’t looked like a world beater over this run and almost got KO’d by Till. If Jared didn’t get his arm shattered by Rob early in their fight, I think it’s fair to say that would’ve been a much closer fight as well.

Rob has looked like he has improved since then while Izzy has honestly looked worse with the exception of running over Costa
Shit the bed against Yoel and arguably lost
Lost against Jan
Shitty fight against Marvin
I feel like Izzy has a lot to prove here and he isn't talking about it.

I can't imagine the cut would be easy for him these days, could be wrong though.. He has quite a few bad losses in his WW days, not to say he couldn't have improved a lot, I don't know if he has didn't watch him prior to Wonderboy loss.

He's improved quite a bit and is way more experienced which will help him. Wonderboy in his prime was very difficult to fight, I don't think Rob at WW was as bad as he looked in that fight. We'll see though

{<huh}

Arguably?

I don’t think Izzy’s wrong about Whittaker’s last few performances. They were good, but he got rocked in each of those 3 fights IIRC. I could see this Izzy-Bobby fight lasting longer than the first one if Whittaker is very cautious and methodical. If he’s not shy about engaging with Izzy, I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see him brutally finished again.

Colby would be competing, Usman flattens him he's way too strong.
