Chimaev and Rakmonov. Just built differently. Another level of grappling. The Caucasus wrestlers have shown a new level of fighting to the UFC.

nah, I'll be surprised if shavkhat gets past pereira and Brady first.
Kazakhstan is in the caucus mountain range according to dummies on sherdog lolRakhmonov is from Caucasus?
USSR always made the best combat athletes. In boxing too, suddenly every dominant champ came from areas previously blocked by the Iron Curtain and Americans had to invent a narrative about boxing declining lol.Not Caucasus, but CIS, or ex-USSR really.
USSR running the UFC soon.

Sounds good!I actually used to be friends with a guy from Azerbaijan and a guy from Kazakhstan and they made a comment one time about having a Caspian connection between them, lol.
So maybe the OP can call them the Caspian Killers. Still alliterative.
He's been talking about retirement for years due to his knees and leg problems. Long, long before Khamzat was on the scene. Relax, n00b.
That's so lame though, he has a chance to shoehorn himself in the GOAT discussions. Show that the caucasic/asian grappling that's been dominating MMA can be beaten! It sucks so much if he does a Khabib and leaves the table with unanswered questions.Dude definitely is going to retire within a few fights.
Cleaned out the division, put on some highlight performances with KOs and knockdowns, did it with fairly minimal damage. His age and shot knees are going to get better, he can only get worse from here.
Save for a legit money fight, I don't see him sticking around. Perhaps if the middleweight belt changed hands, but that is unlikely.
