News *UPDATE: Alexander Romanov OUT; Ilir Latifi vs Aleksei Oleynik now set for March 26

Damn. Probably the best unranked prospect at Heavyweight. Would have liked to see how he handled big strong wrestler like Latifi after that weirdness that was the Espino fight. Hopefully he comes back soon.

Romanov was such a hot prospect when he entered the ufc he's really underwelmed in his ability to move up the rankings tho.

Daukaus and Aspinall were signed at the same time and are/were top 10 fighters now.


Edit would be funny if they get Espino to replace him.

Alexander Romanov not being ranked has nothing to do with him not being a Top 15 fighter at HW.
 
Big fan of Romanov, but he might have dodged a bullet here. Latifi is tailor made to play spoiler for a guy with his cardio issues.

Yeah, I agree. I was gonna bet Latifi if he was a big dog. Romanov would have a hard time throwing him around like he does with other people and I reckon he'd have gassed trying. He hasn't really shown me much of a plan B if his style of throwing people around and donkey konging them doesn't work.

He's flawed, but he's fucking fun to watch for a HW. Something a bit different.
