Anyone remember a video where Dana said he and Sakakibara might be working together on something?

It was a while ago, like maybe a year or more. But there was a video of Dana, iirc he was at his house, and Sakakibara was either there then, or he had been there recently to talk with Dana.

The interviewer or whoever asked Dana if him and the old Pride president might be working on something together .... and Dana says maybe, or possibly.

Anyone know what that was about?

And is anything going to come of that or not? I'm curious what they were talking about.

Nothing is going to come of it.

Dana doesn't want Pride to come back and show us what we've been missing all this time, and Japan definitely doesn't want Dana there sleazing away their hard earned Yakuza money.

It's a no win situation.

Wouldn't it be funny if even the yakuza thought Dana was too much of a scumbag to work with <Lmaoo>

But for real, it made me wonder if Dana had plans on buying Rizin (is that even still around?) or maybe doing something entirely new in Japan.

Pretty sure that that's actually what the problem is. Dana himself.

Rizin isn't worth buying... Although time will tell - if Ngannou takes the Saku belt to Rizin, back to Japan, its sacred home... Then maybe.

I think it started with Floyd, Sakakibara, and Dana at Floyd's house. They took a photo together and people asked what was going on.

Sakakibara also visited Dana afterwards.

After the fight Floyd had with Tenshin at Rizin event. Floyd became homies with Sakahibara and he flew in to Vegas to meet with Floyd again. Then Sakahibara asked for a favor to meet with Dana White so Floyd helped set it up.

Think Sakahibara probably needs financial support because covid has negatively effected his business a bunch. I hope the Goof partners with him and they invest in Japan. I want some of those high level Karate bros in mma. They are really fucken good, even better than Horiguchi.

A Tuf Japan on National TV over there would be fantastic and do well imo

Morishita made PRIDE reach its pinnacle. When the Yaks whacked him and extorted his widow out of her shares, the American Expasion died, and was the begining of the end. Sakashitbara can fuck himself.

Give Gomi his fucking belt, you racis goof.

Man I just watched that entire video. I'd not seen the entire meeting with Dana before. That was fascinating.

Their meeting was a little awkward and I felt like Dana had this smug superiority attitude going. And I felt bad for Sakakibara at one point flat out saying to Dana I want to cooperate again....then the video quick jumps to them talking about something else. So I can imagine Dana's reaction to that wasn't good.

BUT....then I remembered (if the stories can be believed) back when Sak told Dana they would send over Wand and Sakuraba to the UFC, then used it as free marketing in North America and never had any intention of sending their stars to the UFC.

So if I were Dana right now....I'd probably balk at Sak talking to him about working together again too!
