"Be patient, wait". They said this in the Stipe rematch, too. The gas tank, having to conserve in a 5-rounder, the first Stipe fight.

But Jones wants that to rack up points, and he's pretty good at avoiding flush shots, moving away and blocking with hands. Jones is also very good at getting up from the bottom, and using his long arms in the clinch, lean to sap the gas.

And Jones has higher fight IQ. Shows in a long fight.

Ngannou would need to be his old aggressive self to beat Jones, not wait, he'll be down on the cards right away.

You are assuming 2012 Jones shows up. I think Jones will be much slower and more hittable than that. Frank's bombs will find their target.

Or Jones get hurt by the heaviest punches he ever had to deal win, all while have to deal with clean size disadvantage

Lol well this isnt happening until at least 2023 and then I still dont think Jon takes another fight

They gotta pay Francis more and Jon wants more too Dana will kill over having to cough up all that cash

The Dominick Reyes fight implies Francis will be ok. They don't fight on paper however.

If Jones shows up he wants to be 260. If he can balance the added weight/strength with the loss of speed, as HW's are slower, and he will be slower as well.

Then Jones' volume point scoring approach to Ngannou's coach's patient advice.
