I feel he will obviously pick him appart at distance, but when he feels in danger in the boxing range and no time to retreat behind, he will either stepp-in to clinch or high guard, like he did with Lewis

Notice how when Lewis throw his right hand, Gane comes forward with high shield, so the righ hand of lewis is too long and goes behind the target
