Khamzat's wrestling making Gilberts BJJ not very threatening, Khamzat going forward with power until he KO's Gilbert, I think it happens eventually even if Gilbert could be more skilled.

I have this image in my head and I can't shake it.

Gilbert has a lot of power so he can potentially hurt khamzat. Might see khamzats chin tested.

It would be one of those fights that gets a lot done in a very short amount of time.

problem for Burns is that he is a LW who has blown up to WW
khamzat is a MW who cuts to WW and has a 5 inch reach advantage

Burns will probably make it a grappling match hoping his BJJ can help him. But it won't. Khamzat grinds him into the mat in 1-2 rounds.

If they do fight and Khamzat wins in dominant fashion, I'll board the hype train.

BUT!!!

Burns is a huge step up from Leech, and he presents a legitimate threat to Khamzat everywhere the fight goes. There are a lot of unknowns about Borz, so I'm 50/50 on this one. Gun to my head, I think Khamzat will get Burns to the ground somehow (either takedown or knockdown) but Burns will catch him in a sub during a scramble in the 1st round.

Khamzat will put Burns out inside of 2 rounds.

Call me crazy, but Burns has MUCH better wins and MUCH more experience and gave the Champ a run for his money (. . . at first). So I'm going to save my congratulating of Khamzat until after the deed is done ( . . . or not done).

So, I'm not going to pretend that the virtually untested (particularly in comparison) Khamzat is some world-beater that is going to comically starch Burns.

THIS is Khamzat's most important (by far) test to date. Beating The Leech proved he's no gatekeeper level, and he looked fantastic. But Burns is a couple rungs up, so let's see!

Because we all remember Gilbert being propped by Hooker like that and also by an Usman jab - I think people expect him to get clocked.

But I wouldn't be surprised either if it turns out to be a a tough test for Khamzat. After all with all the hype we have to remind ourselves he's only fought a single ranked fighter in his entire career - it's not like he's been tested against the best just yet.

Burns is a tough brawler with decent wrestling and amazing BJJ. Khamzat is a one punch KO artist with amazing wrestling and decent BJJ from what we know. Doesn't look good for Burns.
