That’s just it. You can’t make people who don’t care suddenly care. If you’re not smart with your money it’s because you don’t want to be.No, grown humans don't need to be mandated a financial coach. Anyone with 250k+ can go get a financial advisor and accrue interest etc.
but those who don’t want to won’t, because get this…they don’t care.

Fighters are ultimately responsible for their money but it wouldn't hurt for the UFC to spend a bit of pocket change and mandate financial seminars once or year or offer some financial planning help. Especially given the nature of combat sports and the socio economic background of a lot of its labor. Unfortunately, broke fighters can be helpful to a promoter. No, grown humans don't need to be mandated a financial coach. Very true but it is and and a little mind blowing that a 10 billion dollar company can't be bothered to offer a little bit of financial planning help given it would cost almost nothing. Yeah I don't think mandatory training or advise would be the way to go. At most a one day seminar or some shit when they do their athletes summit every year. Or just offering more guidance, similar to what a lot of players associations do. Same thing with weight cutting and head trauma, UFC kicks the can on this stuff even though it would be very cheap to educate fighters and their camps. It's going to bite them in the ass one day.OK, if they want to offer outlets for advice got those who want it, sure. But, mandating grown adults, I'm sure majority of fighters would pass considering It's really not that difficult for an individual to seek out and if they choose not to, I doubt they would be acquiescent to mandates.

Agreed. Like I pointed out, the UFC also has a vested interest in fighters being dumb with money sadly. Part of what makes it more grotesqueI'm not against offering the option. But it's one of those things in which apt people will do on their own accord and indifferent people won't partake in either way

Yeah im on the same page. I guess the view I take of it as a fan is sure most fighters would ignore but say 10 fighters listen and have better post career lives? That's a pretty cheap cost to pay for what keeping a financial adviser on ufc retainer or payroll for less than 7 figures.Usually falls under players association which would be up to the fights to form. I'm sure the the ineptitude of fighters does benefit the ufc, I'm just stating even if the ufc did offer it, guys who are currently apathetic to their own interests wouldn't take up the offer; and if you didn't mandate it those same guys would be asleep at the desk, doodling on their handouts or playing on their phones.
