And although got hit very hard on the back of his head, he didn’t get phased by it and went for the finish at BB strongest area brawling, that was just amazing. Francis was so scared of engaging like that and he is very powerful.
I think there is a big chance of Gane finishing Francis by TKO. What do u think?

Gane did very well chopping at the legs during that fight. If he can do that to Ngannou for a cpl rounds it could be a game changer. Then when Ngannou is less fresh, and not as mobile. Then start attacking the head more. The Lewis fight was almost the perfect blueprint to use against Ngannou. Just don’t get trapped and take any huge shots. If Gane can do that he wins late or gets the decision.

Even looking back at the second stipe fight, the mistakes and overextension francis commits are so glaring. He’s lacking so much fundamentally that a guy like Gane (and truly, even at his old age, stipe) should be able to beat him.

Everyone knows he’s got the eraser and I hate to sound lazy, but he’s very wilder-esque. Yes, he knocks out most men who ever try to fight him, but the very best should simply make him look bad.

If you’re a betting man francis will (and should) make you hesitate, but logically, Gane should make this look easy.

This seems to be the most logical approach to the fight, but Ngannou's power is so ridiculous that I find it hard to bet against him. His power is such a strong trump card that it can easily negate any other advantage his opponent may have. Crazy stupid power.

Beast doesn't brawl. He might get into fire fights but between his timing and power he's the best counter puncher in the UFC.

Ngannou, now that guy tries to make every fight a brawl.

But yes I'm expecting a 3rd or 4th round TKO for Gane.

If Francis KO’s Gane like I think he will, it will be one of the most satisfying results I’ve ever seen. Seeing how everyone’s writing him off here because black beast made Gane look like Anderson Silva, I like Gane a lot - super chill guy and tremendous fighter, but the folks here have made it so I want to see him unconscious.

I see mistakes from Gane in his fights as well. He got caught clean by JDS trying to go for a naked liver hook, caught clean multiple times by Volkov, he ended his back tunred from Lewis after missing an oblique kick.

Now Gane hasn't shown that he will really punish mistakes. He is not a counter puncher, he doesn't have brutal finishes. He is more building offense on his own term and accumulating damages.
Ngannou, on the other handm has punished pretty much every single mistake of his opponents in the most radical manner.

Francis doesn't need to be perfect technically. He can rock guys with glancing shots with little accuracy.

Although Ciryl's striking defense has been remarkable in his career it's still kind of crazy we've never seen his chin get tested in any significant way. For all we know he could be glass chinned.

I like Gane, but the thing about him is that his style doesn't really seem to be the type to wear someone out. He's very "stick and move", and when you factor Ngannou's massive power, I see Gane picking his shots more carefully. Ngannou doesn't have much cardio, but if he's not being wrestled or pressured, I can very much see Gane trying to cruise to decision until he's ubuptly, brutally, stopped.

Every fight except when he froze against the mighty Black Beast.
I don't blame ole Frank. I'd be scared too.

Bring back your old AV!!

This. I think Francis doesn't have great striking defense but he has a good chin to keep him in the exchanges where he will win.

BB landed 5 punches a round... and without Gane going for the kill he would be below 4

I wish I had $0.25 for every "just finished rewatching" thread, $0.50 for every "in hindsight" thread, and $1.00 for every GOAT discussion, with a $2.00 bonus every time a fighter's name is intentionally misspelled.

would be able to afford that new PPV cost, a bottle of DP's whiskey, and buy some for y'all too.
