Media Did Poirier's spirit break? "Conor McGregor fight too much for Dustin Poirier"

Do you think a McGregor fight would be too much for Poirier coming off title loss?

I'm guessing that Felder knows something about Poirier that we don't. The Irish Dragon wants him to take a fun fight without any pressure.

"Even a Conor McGregor fight I think is too much for him right now"

Don't know how to timestamp, but the question is asked around 2:40.

How long did it take you to find something positive about Conor mcgregor in 2022?

I read a article from the Sun on the topic, so I went and looked up the actual interview. I feel like Poirier could really be in a poor mental state, hopefully this won't ruin McGregor vs Poirier 4. That's one of the few good fights UFC can put on in 2022.

It's not about whether McGregor is better or not, the way Felder said Poirier needs a fun fight, makes it sound like he knows something about the mental state of Poirier that we don't.
Something we don’t know? We do have a lot of insider info about him.

Via Colby: he’s a swamp thing
Via Conor: his wife’s his husband
Via Conor: his foundation feeds his own family
Via Dustin himself: I am a gold digger and perfer money over title fights 24/7

I don’t have any interest in watching Conor get dominated for a 3rd straight fight. Dustin’s fighting Nate. Conor needs to fight someone he has a shot at beating like tony

Eh, I'd give McGregor at least 30% if he fights Poirier a fourth time. If he opens anywhere in the +250-300 range, I'd bet a ton of money on McGregor.

The trilogy was epic, it was the only UFC PPV we were able to get everyone in my family + extended family to all watch. None of them are MMA fans, but if it's McGregor Poirier, everyone watches.

All of us watched not just the PPV, but the press conferences, the build up, we followed the twitter exchanges, facebook, and instagram. Everyone was super excited on fight night.

Can you blame him for not wanting to put up with that turd human in a fourth fight build up??

If Dustin still seriously believes that he is an elite fighter, the best fight for him to take is Colby. It would draw a lot of fan interest. They could do a catchweight at 160 or 165. But given that Dustin and Colby rehydrate to pretty much the same weight, they might as well fight at 170. That way if Dustin pulls the upset over Colby, he would conceivably be next for a title shot at 170.

Losing to Colby wouldn't hurt Dustin's standing and he could still go on to fight Nate (very low risk, moderate money fight), Conor 4 (moderately low risk, very high money fight), or Gaethje 2 (moderate risk, low money fight but a win would likely get him another title shot at 155).
