Gane should have fought Stipe or Blaydes first to see if he’s ready for Ngannou.

I think it’s fair to say that Gane is rushing too fast to fight Ngannou. He needed to test himself against Stipe or Blaydes first and get that extra experience.

Anyways, I fully expect Ngannou to KO Gane in Round One.

1. Gets to jump to a title shot. If he fought Stipe and lost, not only does he lose stock, but it wouldn't even be for the title. He's risking his brain cells I exchange for the chance to become a champion.

2. Way more money and fight hype, to be fighting Ngannou former sparring partners.

3. Rule #8482 of MMA prize fighting: No one actually waits until they're actually "ready" to fight someone. The "I'll fight anyone anywhere anytime" mentality has been the downfall of many a UFC fighter. Like those fighters who get their ass beat, ask for an immediate rematch, and get beat up worse than the first time.

Gane struck while the iron was hot and he got himself a title fight.

Does "Gane" rime with "can"?

I guess we're gonna find out.

Considering Gane is the interim champ no wait would have been justifiable. Stipe could have got a title shot but he could also have volunteered to fight Lewis or Gane after his loss too.

No, Even if you fight the perfect heavyweight fight, you face a chance to get KO'd and that chance is bigger than in any other weight class, so every extra fight adds another chance that you get caught.

HW's should try to fight for the title ASAP, because even a bum HW has a puncher's chance against an elite HW.

In all honesty, your wrong. Gane already did the perfect fight to see if he is ready for Francis. Fighting Blade or Stipe does nothing to prove this. Neither has a style close to Francis, Lewis would have the closest style.

Gane toyed with Uber Volkov like no other, that was pretty decent.
This. That fight made me a believer in Gane; I thought Volkov would win by being more experienced and well-rounded, but I was wrong AF.

Gane's title shot seems rushed because he hasn't been fighting that long, but nobody can argue that he doesn't deserve it. He's proven that he's ready to fight for the title.

They aren't really anything like Ngannou, so I don't think it would tell us much of anything about being ready for him. You can certainly argue that he should have had to bear another top 5, but people who think that he's going to win would still think that. People who think that Francis will get him out of there in a round would still think that.

I don't see why fighting either of them would improve his chances against Ngannou as they aren't similar to him.

Gane easily beat Lewis who Ngannou was scared of.
When are we going to admit that the Ngannou Lewis fight is a bit of an outlier.
Ngannou had been smashing everyone and prob believed his own hype that he couldn't be beat. Stipe manhandled him and he came back the next fight with a terrible mindset vs Lewis. Clearly something was wrong with him mentally. He fought timid, and it was literally one of the worst fights ever. Since then, he's appeared to work that out and is fighting a lot more confidently.
If you actually believe Lewis would be a favorite against Ngannou in a rematch, I have a million dollars I'd like to bet you at evens.
Can we stop with this? It's one of the worst instances of MMA math.

Besides Francis, the only other fighter I want to see Gane face is Jones.

This is a bad take.
First addressing your two examples: fighting Blaydes, who is a wrestler, wouldn't help at all vs Ngannou... and we don't even know if Stipe would take that fight if it is not for the belt. He hasn't yet fought since losing the belt.
And secondly, Gane already has a decent amount of experience with Ngannou having trained and sparred with him. So this concept, even if generally applicable, isn't in this situation really. And one of the closer approximations for Ngannou in a sense, is Lewis, who Gane handled. So that was a good tune-up fight for sure.
Now unlike many Sherdoggers on here, I think Lewis is levels below Frank despite their first fight. So I don't think beating Lewis (who beat FN) now means Gane is an obvious favorite. My take is Frank was not in a good place mentally coming off the loss to Stipe and put out the worst performance of his career. I think FN wins a rematch vs DL.
I also think this fight between Gane and Ngannou is very interesting and I don't think there is a clear favorite. I would favor Ngannou but don't want to bet bc the idea that he might benefit by losing the fight makes me a bit scared to touch this one. No idea how this plays out on Ngannou's conscious or subconscious mind going in to the fight.
