CLIFFS:
- Beginning is Israel Adesanya(21-1) training alongside his teammates. Including fighters such as Mike "Blood Diamond" Mathetha(3-0) who will also fight at UFC 271(his debut) and Carlos "Black Jag" Ulberg(3-1) who will have his second fight with the promotion at UFC 271.
- Gives 2 minute long Nord VPN sponsor.
- Mike Angove(CKB Striking Coach) states that he'll have three fighters on this card(UFC 271) including Izzy. Saying it focuses everyone when you've got multiple teammates fighting on the same card.
- Mike Angove thinks Robert Whittaker believes he's much sharper on this recent win-streak and that he'll make changes to his game.
- Isreal criticises people claiming he's only a champ with one discipline.
-Isreal Adesanya: "I know how to fight. I could've been a f*cking boxer, done the whole blueprint like I said. Same as a kickboxer and fight some bums...But I humbled myself and realized I want to be a full-fledged fighter. So I humble myself and learn."
- Claims Claressa "T-Rex" Shields has more ovaries then boxer's have balls. Praises her for wanting to learn and go into MMA.
- Introduces Jeff Sainlar, the photographer and videographer for Israel Adesanya.
-Isreal insists this is the best he's ever come into a camp. Being able to get in shape and jacked before camp begun throughout the New Zealand lockdown.
- Isreal on the Robert Whittaker fight: "I have a point to prove to myself, but also to like...you know those people, I just want them to shut the f*ck up.... I mean the motiviation for me is that he's not making excuses like Vettori or Costa. He's accepted his loss, finally admitted that I was in his head and that he was emotional. I was like yeah, you're finally admitting what I was saying this whole f*cking time. So that makes me take him seriously, like he's accepted that...He's got a point to prove as well. He's been training, motivated and that gets me up in the morning. Shut him up again..worse than the first time and that's what gets me motivated."

Should be a fun fight.

Izzy beat him convincingly as the unproven challenger, now imagine facing him as the defending world champion. Not only does this izzy guy wanna beat you, he wants to hump you from behind after he's done lmao.

Rob has to show some new wrinkles in his game, I haven't seen enough to justify him doing much better than last time. In the first fight, his punches were just an inch or two away from the mark though. It sounds crazy, but I think his best chance is to put his feet on the fire again and drag Izzy into a close range boxing affair, maybe find an opportunity when Izzy is leaning to get a hold of his hips and get him down.

Always crazy how a guy becomes champion and then noobs anoint him as the Goat of the division, then a few years later their at a career defining crossroads, Now it's time to see what Rob has in his toolbag, he can really add to his legacy with a win, but can he stick to a solid gameplan long enough to survive 2 rounds?

I like Rob, but he's not defensively sound enough, nor has the offensive motor or attributes to cause Izzy much trouble if he fights the way he usually does. He's gotta put himself at risk, and it's hard to overcome those demons after being KO'd by the guy already.

Good analysis!
I think you're right that Rob can't be afraid of Izzy on the feet and just wrestle. Don't think that will work, but I think he'll have a solid gameplan and has a great chance of winning. Mixing it up is key IMO.

Just hope it's a great fight!

Whittaker has been nothing but classy and level headed since that uncharacteristic performance against Izzy where he was winging wild shots and fighting recklessly. That's not how he usually fights.

That said, Robert still has tendencies to leave himself open defensively and does throw too many looping shots in the pocket. He is going to have to fight a perfect fight to win here and I don't know if he can. We can't just say he needs to mix it up, as it's been incredibly difficult to get Israel down and if anyone has been lucky to do it, they can't keep him there. His TDD at 185 is exceptional.

I know this forum loves to hate on Adesanya but the guy has proven that outside of that Jan misstep, at 185 he is an elite fighter who hasn't been tested since that Gastelum fight. He may just have Bobby's number.

I want Knuckles to win. I hope he wins. I don't think he does.

Thanks for the cliffs as well, TS.

If ya watch the fight Israel was dominating the whole fight. Is Rob going to take it to the ground? Do you think Vettori wanted to? Or do you think Israel has stopped being the best striker in the UFC and the best against many in striking in general? I like Whittaker but at best he has a decent fight and loses via decision but anything can happen

I want to like Izzy but he comes off extra and abrasive as fuck. He always sounds pissed off and defensive. Is this the result of all the bullying he went through?

Before he was cringe but genuine with his whole videogame analogies and anime stuff. Now he is in this Conor like state of "Im better than everyone, I envision my destiny, blablabla" but he just doesnt have that charisma.

He just comes off as an insecure tool and kind of a bully. No king rules forever, Izzy.

When Adesanya eventually loses in spectacular fashion, this forum is going to revel in it.

Unfortunately Adesanya is not really doing a great job at building a fanbase that is there for him/his personality. They like that he wins. I wish him the best but above all I would really like to see him mature as a person.

I think GSP spoiled me.
