Jonathan Martinez is an interesting fighter, a bit hit and miss in my view. Looked great against Thomas Almeida and Zviad Lazashvili, but couldn't handle Davey Grant. He takes on Alejandro Perez, who beats rookies and uber-veterans for fun (he's bested Eddie Wineland, Johnny Eduardo & Iuri Alcantara, all 35+ fight vets), but reached his ceiling against ranked fighters like Cody Stamann and Yadong Song.

Seems like a well-pitched fight to me, feels like Perez was on the verge of establishing himself as a really good bantamweight, Jonathan Martinez might get there one day himself.

Who you got?

Well said, we share the same opinion. As far as the fight, like you eluded to, if Martinez is complacent it's a different fight, if he's on it's a f'ing fight and I think he wins. He's slow, but his timing and shot selection is phenomenal when he's on, if he doesn't find his groove he looks a bit lost and has trouble adjusting. Stylistically, I like Perez's aggressive style to play against him. I like both these guys but stylistically I like Martinez to win a clear decision or possible finish if Perez tries to throw heat later in the fight.

I have to be honest, I often get most of these 135lb Hispanic fighters confused with one another.

Can't remember what Perez fights like, but I know Martinez is a pretty decision-y striker. Martinez UD.
