On Joe Rogan Podcast, Schevchenko talked about training, said she had an unusual approach to training. I didn't know exactly what she was saying by her choice of words, so I think she was saying that she emphasizes differently than other fighters in how she trains.

So even though she trains at the UFC Performance Institute, which is the state of the art in everything(equipment, science, nutrition, very modern), she said she does not like weights, running, or hitting the pads. She does them but, she does not like doing them....

She went to emphasize on training 3 to 4 hours a day but till she dies.Instead of, the 12 hour day shift with training in intervals. Also, how cardio she gets from 5 round sparring fights, and weight lifting from picking people up. She loves non stop striking with cardio. Just as natural as you can get is what I gathered from her emphasis.

When she is learning new stuff its not in the training camp but the lighter time of in between fights. She will then only learn one style at that time to learn at that time. She also trains one day on and off during off time. Also, she does not separate the training, so BJJ or striking or wrestling at different times. She does it all at once together in training camps before a fight.

She seems to keep it as natural as possible instead of classes. Yet trains at the UFC performance Institute.

Fedor seemed to do some old school Rocky type drills..

This is the way. I train similar to this style. You don't need a lot of fancy equipment or all the new fads that the personal trainers are trying to do. Most of that training is coming from people that don't fight or do martial arts and just copying current trendy workouts. They don't know how to translate any of that into actual fighting conditioning or skills. That's why those people doing that training haven't benefited at all from it in their fights.

I've seen a lot of reaction training, reflex training, and speed training that people are doing for fighters... and I can see why it's not working.

All that matters is it's effective. Just unorthodox/unconventional to most people's type of training. But also explains why they can't move the way other fighters move, they haven't worked on the necessary movements for their body to have the balance/mobility/flexibility/awareness to move the same. Yet they will call it natural ability to the people that can do it and actually worked on being able to do it.

Not mma specifically but take a look at Kyle Dakes training currently. Old school, Sean Sherk had a wild routine.
Sean Sherk's routine was insane, that guy was a monster back in the day. Kyle Dake is currently a monster, I will check that out

FKL said he did mostly yoga before Baboza, he attributed surviving his stanky legs dance to it as well IIRC.
