I really dont understand Dana white reactions sometimes, in the past we saw Dana being furious for less than what costa did

Costa should not be in the ufc anymore for the obvious reason you guys all know already:

- Izzy exposed him, he is not special at all (we can discuss about that)
- Izzy took his soul, he is not the same fighter anymore and he will never be (we can discuss about that)
- he is delusional (why not) but also non profesionnal (the wine episode if true and the cutting)

I think this type of fighter deserve to fight in a minor organization like Bellator or whatever else but not in the major organization watched by the whole world.

But hearing Dana defending him pretty clearly in the post fight interview, for sure he still count on him.... (he see an "handsome" brazilian beast so he might think costa is still worth it)

They should ship him off to a Siberian prison for all the horrific things he's done.

He should, but the double standards in the UFC are insane. What he did 100% should have gotten him shit canned but " big juicy Brazilian who is "exciting" and draws can be an asshole and it's okay just move up a division"
He shit the bed vs Izzy horrendously
Absolutely made a mockery of the sport and his opponent this week
Arguably lost to Yoel
If the roles were reversed and this was vettori he'd be gone.

So he loses to the champ and a top 5 guy and he should be cut because you don’t like him? As already stated above, there are many worse fighters than Costa in the UFC right now. If he continues to lose and have weight issues then fine, but it’s 2 top tier losses and one time weight issue at this point.

If he had folded like a cheap trick, he may well have.

But he still has value to Dana, obviously.

TS you know this is a profit seeking entertainment business first and foremost. Why argue on the premise it’s not?

TLDR:
You do, in fact, understand.

I always believed him way overhyped and said as much when he was facing Izzy, but I still wanna see him fight. He is entertaining inside and outside the cage, which is enough for me.

As long as Conor and Jones still have a job in the UFC it would be hypocritical for them to fire Costa for eating burger and drinking wine, when he should be cutting weight... let him enjoy life as much as those two

It wound up working out,the best was made out of a bad situation. Vettori got a boost,Costa showed a good performance, and the fans interest was alot more than what it was before.

The punishment besides the bad rep,and the loss of some of the purse,is Costa may think he can still fight at 185 but he will not be allowed to.
