Sad thing to say, but boxing is building stars better than UFC has done in the past few years. Pushing guys like Till did nothing as they weren’t skilled enough to hang at the top. They need to focus on their younger talent and get their name out there especially if guys like Diaz and Conor are looking to leave soon.

Boxing protects fighters like babies, in UFC a young star is thrown to the lions early.

Moreno was thrown to the wolves from an early age, MMA is no joke you start fighting the best The kid have to be big Balls to Win in UFC.

Can't wait til Erick Silva enters his prime.

Pride & boxing do a fantastic job building fighters because they destroy cans while mixing in competitive fights in between which allowes them to fight more often & show off their skill. Something I wish the UFC should adopt as well when building stars.

Sean O'Malley got mad hype when he used that kid as a punching bag.

lol, I think hswrestler closed the thread already.
For the Boxers, other than Shakur Stevenson right now, there is not much hype amongst casual fans. mainly, just the hardcore Boxing fans, imo
???
Ryan Garcia and Davis have way more hype and casuals behind them than Shakur. Shakur and Boots are probably the most obscure guys up there (as far as casual viewership goes), with Haney only breaking out somewhat after becoming the email champ.

I am the definition of a casual when it comes to boxing. I wouldnt know any of those boxers if it wasnt for sherdog. Are they successful boxers? Yes. Stars? By what definition? Most people dont know any current boxers outside of Wilder,Fury, Joshua, Mayweather and unfortunately the Paul brothers.

Hell everyone of those boxers are getting shown up in the "star" category by Jake Paul.

I don't know any of those boxers in the op.
This. l@nd0

It takes a lot just to define a "star". By this forums standards nobody aforementioned is a star. By successful fighters with lots of talent/success, nations behind them, etc there's a lot. Its hard to never lose though

If you're thinking of a Ronda, Conor, Lesnar, etc then no, there is nobody like that. We go through patches of time where our friends know NONE of the current champions. It's such a strange formula to have someone like that to win over the casual masses. It's something genuine that can't be easily manufactured and it comes very rarely. Dana Whites a promoter, yes, but it takes two to tango

Nah for the casuals it's Ryan Garcia that's one of the biggest draws. Tank sells also. Shakur is just one of the most skilled out of the bunch. Teofimo has all 4 belts so he's the most accomplished out of everyone on the list and probably also the most skilled. They are all champion level fighters though, even if some don't have a belt currently.

Devin Haney should be on that list too with Oscar Valdez and Rollie. Another prospect is Xander Zayas and Brandon Lee.
