Probably, but Khabib's GNP set him apart from other grapplers more than slick submissions. He usually beat guys silly before subbing them.

I agree with him tbh. He says where he knows Khabib is better. But watching Islam when he’s on the ground he seems more composed, efficient, diverse and surgical going for subs.

Khabib set up subs with brawn and Islam seems to be a better tactician. He just looks more refined and controlled.

We seen Khabib do it against better guys though.

Look at it in context, because he's comparing two teammates.

Honestly anybody familiar with the sport could tell you Khabib likes position over submission and to work his ground and pound. Islam goes for submissions as a first offense. Two clearly delineated styles of MMA grappling.

That isn't my point. The more the guy fights, the more we learn. His teammates are always going to say positive things about him. Every other day it's another guy who trains with him saying something about him and these guys - posters on the forum - treat it like gospel. It's non stop. I'll watch him fight and prove it.

i can't stand this guy. i respect good grapples. less money in it but imo his body type and style is way more appealing on the grappling mats then it is in mma

Unfortunately they only fight 3 times a year so in between we have interviews for entertainment.
