so was he aiming for split decision win?
Yeah this was good judging. Second round was close but Tim clearly lost it.Well I'm glad he admitted he's wrong but seems like am amateur mistake no ? Unless it's a super obvious 2 10-8's(and maybe even then ) you should always push your fighter to go for it in the last RD , you never know what the judges are gonna do .

I agree not saying it was bad judging . Just seems like what Krause did was a very low level mistake for a supposed "genius" of the game .Yeah this was good judging. Second round was close but Tim clearly lost it.
Split as in rounds? That’s still a UD.
Yup. That’s what I was saying. 2/1 split round wise is a UD. Judge wise it’s a split decision.I believe he's trying to say he was aiming to win 2 out of 3 rounds but it's coming off as he wants 2 judges to award him the fight
His corner game is def questionable. This is like the fourth fight i've raised my eyebrows at his advice. He might be a good coach in the gym but yeahI agree not saying it was bad judging . Just seems like what Krause did was a very low level mistake for a supposed "genius" of the game .
It’s worse imo because him and Tim might be the only two people on the planet who thought Tim won round 2.Well I'm glad he admitted he's wrong but seems like am amateur mistake no ? Unless it's a super obvious 2 10-8's(and maybe even then ) you should always push your fighter to go for it in the last RD , you never know what the judges are gonna do .
Can't see the OP but never coach to coast.
Also, you can lose a close fight & still lose unanimous. Always misunderstood since it was implemented.
- Unanimous decision = all judges scored in favor of 1 fighter
- Split decision = 2 judges in favor of 1 fighter & 1 judge in favor of the other fighter
- Majority decision = 2 judges in favor of 1 fighter & 1 judge has a draw
Understand the basics, kids.
"I made a huge coaching error tonight that I’m sure is going to haunt me for some time to come.
Going into the 3rd round I thought for 100% sure we took 1 and 2. Regardless of if that was true or not I should have pushed Tim to work up in the 3rd… and I didn’t.
Win, lose, or draw I’m so proud of the improvements that Tim has made in the last year.
His willingness to learn and be coached is what makes him so incredible.
His lack of fear in competition is something we can all take and learn from to be one of the best entertainers in all of mma.
I know I have learned so much from him over the years.
I fucking hate losing but it’s part of the game.
Regardless, this dude is my dog.
We’ve been through worse losses than this one."
He's not a smart man. That doesn't mean what you think it means
