" I kind of underestimated a little bit when we broke uh, I broke from the clinch I thought that you know he was with the arms a little bit tired and he hit me good right behind the ear and I kind of lost my balance a little bit...."

- Vicente Luque on the adversity he faced in his UFC 260 win over Tyron Woodley

Tyron still hits hard enough that he was able to nearly KO Vicente Luque who has never been knocked out, but he is going to have trouble handling Jake Paul all these "experts claim"?

You may dislike Tyron but anyone who believes Jake Paul could win anything but a boring decision over him has no understanding of Tyron Woodley the fighter.

In rooting for Woodley heavily.
Granted I doubt I'll watch.

Woodley issues are being stagnant in fights and cardio. And the most likely is bribery.

If he loses it's going to be rooted in one of those.

Few talk about how Conor hit Dustin behind the ear in their first fight.

It doesn't make it an illegitimate win. It was not an illegal shot. But it does add context.

Woodley never had a chance in this 'boxing match'. Unless they went back 5 years in the hot tub time machine.

If the whole thing isn't rigged as I suspect it might be
Tyron should win against Paul very easily <{1-9}>

We'll have to see how well his power (and accuracy) translates to boxing gloves

Lol casuals are so cute thinking punches being throw means boxing and mma are similar at all

Nah it's not bribery, there is a rematch clause and Woodley wasn't confident about betting his purse when put on spot. It's a money fight for him that he hopes he can win to start a boxing career afterwards.

Woodley has a good chance of winning early, but in the later rounds it may favor Jake Paul if Jake Paul doesn't have cardio/conditioning issues. Since we've never seen him go past a few rounds I'm not overly confident on his gas tank in the later rounds. But if his conditioning is on point, he should be able to pull ahead in the later rounds if he doesn't get finished early. The feints and volume boxing is going to be more than what Woodley is used to fighting with in mma, he may get frozen like he did in previous fights when dealing with fighters that can throw more volume and can do feints to freeze his counter overhand right. The difference in boxing skill becomes more evident as the fight progresses.

Jake Paul's chin is still also a question mark, so who knows if he can handle a solid shot. Woodley would be smart to push hard from the start and see what Jake Paul is really made of. Any strategy of trying to start slow and going hard in the later rounds would be foolish on Woodley's part.

...and then he got finished bad. It doesn't mean much at all, it's not like Vicente was supposed to walk through him.

Woodley is shot and has an extremely hard time pulling the trigger, but if he gets off, Jake Paul won't know what hit him. His speed and power is like nothing Paul has experienced.

Please explain wtf he would need to bribe Woodley? He's lost 4 fights in a row, is smaller, slow and gun shy.
(it's incredibly disrespectful btw to suggest shit like that. It's the worst kind of fighter bashing.)

He had no problem pulling the trigger against Luque. In fact, he may have been too aggressive. If he goes out swanging and bangin against Jake then I expect him to knock him out within a round.

That’s ok. TS literally turned a quote of “kind of lost my balance a little bit” into “nearly KO Luque”.

Vincente is a tough mofo. The sound of Tyrons pattented overhand right landing on Vincentes dome suggested he put everything into that shot.

Lmao unless the fix is in, Tyron is murking Jake Paul. Tyron is nothing like fat, post- hip replacement Askren lol. Tyron is an actual fighter who KOed Robbie Lawler on the feet.

Count me as someone with no understanding. Between being over the hill, the much smaller fighter and concentrating on his talented rap career I think Jake starches Tyron.

No one should doubt Woodley's ability to throw bombs, the doubt is if he will actually show aggression or not.

Gonna be hilarious when Tyron gets his ass handed to him.
He has always had shit boxing and now he doesn't have small gloves to utilize his power as much too.
