Denis grew up in Russia and trained in judo/sambo and then he moved to Germany when he was 16 year old and he did so with his parents. In Germany he faced many discrimination and harassment for his Russian heritage.

Feeling ostracized Denis focused his time and dedication to master kickboxing. Every time he took an hour train to a legit kickboxing gym he would look out the window and contemplate what life is as well as truly engaging in in-depth thinking of how he is going to blend his judo/sambo with his kickboxing.

His internal dialogue paid off and he became the kick boxing champion of Germany because he combined talent, hard work with internal thought process.

Now we fast forward to conor fight. By that time Denis was dealing with some distractions since he was accidentally dragged into a love triangle and that is when conor fight happened. Couple this bizarre love triangle +conor trash talk, Denis was worn out and feeling passive and lethargic towards life.

The Denis you saw in conor fight is not the Denis you know. He is a great fighter and went on to beat bj Penn which started penns downfall. Afterwards UFC wanted to stiff him with pay but Denis a self respected man went on to teach and influence people by teaching not just his fight style but his philosophy of persevering through tough times and navigating in a new country and coming out of it as a winner despite discrimination.

Denis may not be a UFC champion but he is a champion in life and a powerful force in his community. The character and the kick boxing he has is enough to topple conor. But conor got lucky when he caught Denis going through some strange times.

War Denis @Siver!

EDIT For All You Morons:

I am not trolling, I am dead serious, Dennis has sick judo/sambo throws and takedowns + solid striking and boxing/kickboxing combination with unique kicks from taekwondo/Tang Soo Do. He also does not give up and fights back when in danger as oppose to give up or tap out real quick like some pussy. Dennis is a legit warrior!

Also has his own song and highlight:

You should send this to dennis, he could use it for his autobiography.

Started BJ Penn's downfall?

Did I really just read that?

Such a boring, unconvincing troll job. Get some fresh air TS.

Denis is one of my favorite fighters. I loved his tko win against Nate mohre.

He also has an interesting story that was never shared. Not everyone is your typical college wrestler.

You should send this to dennis, he could use it for his autobiography.

Don't!

bad troll......bad...

It's not a troll job you freaking tool!

Just because a fighter doesn't talk copious amount of shit doesn't mean they have shitty boring lives.

Dennis Siver troll threads > Joe Rogan's height threads

It's not a troll thread!

Denis has a wild life and tons of interesting moments but no one gives a shit about the quite guys.

Everyone one here loves the loud mouth fighter.

Sole unassuming fighters have had insane lives.

He’s right. BJ was still in his prime before he fought Siver. That’s why he hadn’t won a fight in 7 years.
h

Denis is the man!

He is a really good kickboxer and he has enough judo sambo to keep it standing or to go for submissions. The threat of grappling is there to compliment his kickboxing.

That's a really nice post, good insights, but Dennis' career was very entertaining and successful when you look at the names he beat. Dennis rarely ever had a boring fight, and fought back from his first UFC release to become a game contender on his second run.

I don't think we need to worry about who he could have beaten, there's a ton of fun fights to rewatch!

War Siver!

I thought he was exciting to watch. Had a couple TKOs from his spinning back kicks, so whenever he threw those each one could be ending the fight
