If TJ uses a grappling heavy strategy he’s more likely to win

Not necessarily. He's going to have to get inside to get those takedowns and Sandhagen not only has solid TDD but he's bigger and rangier than TJ which could allow him to clip TJ coming in.

I'm curious how TJ's chin and cardio are at 35 with two years off, as well as his reflexes. Guys at these classes typically slow down a lot and don't have a lot of success at his age. He would be an outlier.
 
tj has an incredible skillset but sandhagen is in his physical prime, bigger, longer, and definitely has the chin advantage. TJ is going to be significantly faster though and the level changes are going to open up some interesting dynamics. It's absolutely not a slam dunk for Sandhagen, but I think at this division and considering Sandhagen is a phenom who gets noticeably better each fight that he will ultimately finish TJ.
 
Tj was awesome in his prime but has the division passed him by while he was gone. What’s his best win? Garbrant? Linekar
