“[Edwards] hasn’t fought anybody that’s ranked right now, except for Luque about 10 years ago,” Muhammad said. “He beat dos Anjos, who’s a 55er. He beat Cerrone, who’s a 55er. He beat Nate Diaz, who’s a 55er. Yeah, he has a huge winning streak. He hasn’t really beat a real 170-pounder.

“I don’t even think he should be top-three, if you’re really thinking about it. That’s not even me hating. Dude’s on a 10-fight winning streak. I would give him a title fight. But honestly, for me, the person who deserves the title fight most is ‘Wonderboy’ if Wonderboy wins. If Wonderboy wins, I’d rather see that than Colby.

“Because yeah, it was a great fight, but Colby literally sat on the sidelines; he only beat Woodley. So I don’t think he really deserves it. And Colby is not a big draw. Colby thinks that, ‘Oh, me and Usman is going to sell 1 million pay-per-views.’ But the first one really sold 200,000 PPVs.

“If I’m Usman, what do I gain from Colby? There’s a high chance of me losing that fight, and I’m not going to get a big payday off that. If I’m Usman, Wonderboy is a good style matchup. Fans love Wonderboy. If Wonderboy can beat Gilbert, Wonderboy should get the title shot.”

“He just doesn’t know how to get that fight in general,” Muhammad said. “If you’re on a 10-fight winning streak, you should be all over social media posting about it. You have a country behind you. You should be having people screaming your name to get that title fight. But in general, when you think of him, you think, ‘Eh, who cares.’”

Belal is drunk if he doesn't think Colby-Usman 2 is a money fight. Outside of Masvidal, I think it'll be his biggest payday

Edwards was beating that ass lol. People are really gonna underestimate Leon because Nate got that shot off when Leon threw a shitty right hook. Edwards beats Belal 9 outta 10 times imo if not 10 out of 10 times. He is by far the better fighter.

I have no issues with Belal angling for a rematch. He should probably get one, eventually. Unfortunately, Edwards is on a great streak and he did just beat a name fighter. Leon has passed him by.

But Belal Muhammad himself is not a real welterweight.

Lmfao ..

Hes got that ex girlfriend vibe going...

Belal should focus on his next fight...all these words are gunna crush him if he loses his next match ..

Talk with your success not your words

He really needs to let this go , for the time being anyway

Edwards was outclassing him ... he looked like shit against Maia ....he should fight Mike Perry or Geoff Neal

Luque, Gunnar, & Tumenov spent there whole careers at 170

True points, but beating Nate shouldn't count for NEARLY as much as it does. Beating Belal would be much more indicative of your fight prowess than beating Nate.

Gunnar at least is definitely undersized at 170. He barely cuts to make that, and it outmuscled and towered-over a lot in his last . . . half-dozen or so fights.

Belal was getting his ass handed to him before the Eyepoke. He had no chance, Hell he was struggling with Maia who has average striking and is 44 lol

RDA was ranked number 1 in the WW division for a short time, fought for the interim title at WW, and would beat Belals ass most likely.

Leon looked a weight class bigger than him in the cage and this is his argument? lol

Leon was also beating Nates ass until he almost got finished.

He’s not a finisher and Belal is a grinder that could’ve taken over the second half of the fight.

Run it back
