Anyone else thought of this fight before the trilogy began? Brandon Moreno knew he could take the fast starter Figgys best punches, became more confident because of it and destroyed him.
Same thing happened with poirer/mcgregor. I know it’s easy to say in hindsight but I thought it was fairly obvious this outcome would happen because Poirier was able to eat Mcgregors best shots in the 2nd fight without getting dropped or knees getting wobbled, mostly just stunned for a brief second.

I thought Figgy was going to destroy Moreno in the rematch but when the opposite happened I guess I learned that these fast starter types have one gameplan and basically a punchers chance when a guy with more endurance and better grappling is able to eat their shots, and come back the next fight even more confident in their ability to both box and mix it up on them

Same thing with Edgar/Penn 1 and 2. First fight left some questions and the second one answered them.

Even Dilly/Barao 1 and 2 to some extent. Even though the first fight was a dominant one for Dilly, the second one was more dominant.

Instant rematches has a theme.
