A loss for Conor would severely diminish his brand. Even his die hard casual fans couldn't deny that. It'd be the first time he gets denied vengeance and would for the first time in his career make him completely irrelevant in the title picture (he didn't deserve a ts for a few years now, but with some mental gymnastics an argument could've been made - even THAT will die).

WB is in a similar position except he doesn't have the popularity to be deemed a washed celebrity fighter perfect for super fights like Conor. He's pushing 40 years old, and if he loses to Burns, he'll never get a TS again IMO.

Thoughts?

Only thing left for Conor if he loses is fights at 170 vs Nate or Masvidal, or whatever.
If he wins he gets a title shot if he wants.

But Wonderboy wins by KO hes in a good spot, but 170 is a clusterfuck

Wonder boy.

If he loses, he’s basically done, at least two fights away from another TS. Age is not his friend.

Conor can lose. He’s a draw, the UFC has always favored him, and he’s already reached the top. It’s not ideal, but he’s not really fighting for legacy anymore anyway.

Kind of a weird question to ask, but I would say WB because this is his last chance to fight for a title. Conor can lose and still come back, he is only 32. Plus everyone thinks he will lose anyway so if he loses again nothing will really change for him.

Impossible to know where their heads are at. But WB doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that puts too much heat on himself. He’s probably in a good place right now.

And if I was Conor I wouldn’t even be fighting. What for? It’s not like he needs the money. And if he loses, he loses serious shine. He becomes another ex-champ on a losing streak. I think he has serious pressure on him. Who needs that shit?

Why couldn't he keep fighting at LW?

Conor can always fight jake paul for a billion or something.

wonderboy gotta go teach kids karate forever.

i say WB

Conor of course. Although ironically it would affect him less.

He's that level now... Mike Tyson level fame and fandom, or, close to, where it doesn't matter how many times he loses... his brand will remain.

Conor easily..

The UFC isn't planning on giving WB a shot at the title no matter what - Dana has converted WW into a money fight division. It fucking sucks cause he's a great guy.

Whichever of them cares more about earning a title shot, because a loss probably means they'll never get another for both of them.

This is a thread with Conor in the title I can get behind. Great question. As far as legacy it's WB. Another title shot for a consummate martial artist late in his age is huge. And WB has a freakin' cool skillset. People seem to want to see him vs Usman and this would easily leapfrog him above Colby if Usman gets to make the call on his next fight.

Conor win or lose will still be famous/infamous and get high dollar fights. Losing means he doesn't sniff the title shot in the next year but there seems to be nothing he can do in or out of the cage that will deteriorate his fandom/importance in whatever division he chooses to fight in. LW has to be the one he actually has a chance at the belt tho.

The Leprechaun by far. He knows that the only people who like him are retards and people he gives money to. This trilogy fight is last chance to recover some sense of respect

Wonderboy has very little pressure IMO. He's older playing with house money. Conor's the one that will lose more clout and marketability if he gets finished again.

When Usman beats Colby there is nobody else for him to fight except Wonderboy. And the fans want to see it. Will 100% get made

Wonderboy.

Conor's stock didn't drop from any of his losses, and he'll always be one win away from a title shot.
