As much as I would hate for Usman to fight Diaz next, imagining the levels Colby would go to would be insane.

What do you think Colby would say?

I will start, maybe we can help write some new material for Colby..

"Marty Juiceman couldn't find a new chemist, so he is no longer the CEO of EPO, and chose to fight Edwards scissor hands left overs, the Stockton Soy Boy"

"He is 100% bitch made from Nigeria, Texas"
(He used that one before but if he takes the Diaz fight, it actually becomes true)

Wouldn’t matter. Colby hasn’t done anything to deserve a rematch. But it would make a wild narrative for Usman. It’s not a good look giving fights to undeserving challengers.
True, Nate wobbled Leon, so he did the most damage coming closer to a KO, and he is a gangster and needle mover. By default he is next

A lot. I'm sure.

Personally, as a Diaz fan, I'm against this fight in just about every way possible. There's other fights that can/would make him and the company more money as well as just plain make more sense.

Also, Usman even mentioning Diaz's name as a possible opponent is pathetic. There's, by my count , about 3 guys in the division Usman needs to fight to have successfully "cleaned out the division". And none of them have the last name Diaz.

Call it what it is....a green panty night along with padding the record/his title defenses.

Diaz fan here as well, and agree.
Was also an Usman fan and disliked Colby for the most part, until recent events I have switched to liking Colby more and seeing Usman as the opposite than before

Nick makes more since than Nate for Usman and even that makes no sense.

What has Diaz done to deserve a title shot at Welterweight?
Where were you in the last 12 months? According to Sherdog’s standards, everyone deserves a title shot over Colby, even they deserve a rematch and a trilogy against Usman over Colby. Every WW from top 15.

Even though, Colby fought for 5 rounds while others folded early from 1 punch, he is still a championship bum that belongs to Bellator.

Usman should be fighting another contender like Edwards for the title shot anyway... He has no say who the champion fights...

I never said he has done anything. Read the last line for context.
Exactly, that was my point. Nate doesn't deserve it. Usman should pick either WB, Leon or Colby.

Colby perfomance against Usman imo is like how Rory MacDonald performed against Lawler. It's a great rivalry matchup.

Leon and WB are the only challengers worthy of it. As far as rivalries go, you know that Colby Usman II would end with the same outcome. If Colby loses he isn’t even near the door for contention. Dude wants to rush it, then so be it. But it won’t do much for him or Usman.

Whatever he'd say, it wouldn't be as cringeworthy as that fight actually getting made.

Imo Colby fought Usman for some reasons without any clear strategy whatsoever, he was just aiming to "melt" the guy. Which doesn't worked at all against Usman.
In all his fights, I think Colby never relying on any real gameplan beside him utilizing his cardio to full-on level changing pressure.

During Woodley fight however, Colby fought with an actual gameplan - and I saw improvement too to his striking. Credits to his new gym, MMA Masters in Miami.

Usman on the other hand also improved his striking massively under Whittman. Both guys had a change of arsenal to their game in 2021.

Unbiasedly I gave Colby more winning chance than WB and Leon, though obviously we can see that Usman still winning over all these matchups.
