Hermansson made a mistake accepting a fight with Vettori in December on a weeks notice and losing said fight but he still appears to be the biggest threat to Adesanyas reign as MW champ.

Jack could take Izzy down and lock up a heel hook before Adesanya even realized what was happening. Jack has a good enough ground game that he could potentially just "allow" Adesanya to escape and take his back in the process and sink in a rear naked choke that Izzy would not be able to get out of.

Whether Izzy would ever take a fight with The Joker remains to be seen, but given the ground game Adesanya displayed on Saturday he would be in a world of trouble if a fight with The Joker hit the ground.
 
MMA fans should be better about understanding that sometimes...there just isn't an immediate answer/threat to the throne.

Whittaker is probably still the best chance at a belt swap in the foreseeable feature.

Adesanya also said Vettori improved his boxing, but yeah, he was superior to Jack, Adesanya would easily KO Jack, probably with the same difficulty as he KOed Brunson.

Whittaker is too small for Adesanya there is a huge reach difference, he also can't technically outstrike Adesanya, can't threat him with a big KO power (because Whittaker doesn't have that) and can't dominate him with wrestling, Whittaker literally has nothing for Adesanya.

Too bad he has a congenital brain condition and can't get a commission to medically clear him.

Yeah and not only Vettori, that Edmen kid, a striker with a similar build to Adesanya, picked Jack apart in the first round.
 
Huge fan of Jack and as we know in fighting anything can happen. What’s to say Jack doesn’t get a slick takedown and sub?

But really, I don’t see Jack getting past Adesanyas standup. He gets hit way too often and even if improved his striking is still serviceable at best. It’d be a bad night for the Joker.

Izzy has better/just as good TDD than/as Vetori so he can obviously sprawl on Hermanson with ease
 
Hermanson was outstriked and outgrappled by Vettori who was outstriked and outgrappled by Israel. Not sure how you reached that conclusion.

Hermanson seems to have better BJJ than Vettori but worst wrestling. Against Izzy probably the fight never reaches the ground.
 
I don't think so, but I'd still tune in for that.
 
Love Jack. He's got heart in spades and a pretty good skillset overall but no, he'd get tooled badly by Izzy.
 
You have to ko the Joker in order to stop him, if he is able to avoid the standup he will tie Izzy in a knot on the ground.
