Media UFC 263: Leon Edwards vs Nate Diaz promo

I'm still surprised the fight is on. Hopefully it doesn't get cancelled.

Glad they got Bobby Boucher to do the narration.

This is how the fight will go.

Touch gloves.

Leon leg kick

Diaz takes the kick

does a taunt

diaz moves forward

edward land a jab

edwards goes to clinch

elbow

diaz scar tissue explodes

they trade a little bit

doctor comes in

stops the fight

fight ends 1 minute in

booos from the crowd

nate diaz: "im too real for this sport, they're trying to get me out while they still can"

cheers from crowd

leon edward: *awkward laughs* "these guys are not on my level, i want a titleshot next, 9 fight winstreak, only uzemen has a longer winstreak. im fighting for the title next"

Still see almost no chance Nate wins outside of some flukey DQ or injury

Nate has been washed since the McGregor wars, he better hope Leon gasses or makes a mistake that can lead to a sub, if not long night for Nathan.

Hopefully Nate can maintain consciousness, maybe survive this and get a final fight with Conor.

Have a feeling Nate is getting starched and so is Conor, it'll be many threads detailing the "End of an era" as multiple stars are viciously brought down in a 6 month span.

Belal + Leon + Izzy isn't a bad parlay, Maia just got TKO'd and has been out over a year, Belal has never been subbed and should undoubtedly be the more active fighter across 3 rounds. Leon should destroy Nate for obvious reasons, and Izzy is coming in to silence doubters and should expose Vettori's striking defense.

I would love to, as well. But I see zero paths to victory for him. Leon is seemingly better in every aspect.
Realistic possibility, though I'm with you, highly unlikely. But a "path" to a win none the less...

- Nate's gas tank is indeed world-class, and battle-tested. Though we all assume Leon's a cardio machine as well, it hasn't been tested in the likes that Nate's has. Nate turns it on in the 4th after getting beaten for 3 rounds. Leon wilts. Nate by late round TKO. (Critique- Nate is slow and plodding, how will his style possibly tire out Leon?)

Unrealistic possibility- Nate finally properly checks a leg-kick. Leon breaks his shin ala Andy/Weidman.

so excited for this. if nate wins this id love to see him in a retirement title fight.
