The only reason why Dustin will KTFO Conor again

Nobody outclassed prime Eddie like Conor did, Eddie had Dustin beat both times before he had a brain fart and did something illegal. Conor's win over Eddie was the most flawless performance in history, trying to downplay that win just shows lack of objectivity when it comes to Conor.

Eddie was a good fighter but stop trying to make him sound as a world beater.
Eddie came to UFC lost to Cerrone and then got gifted a title shot after back to back Split decision wins (Meanwhile both Tony and Khabib with 8 fight W streak were ignored) . He then beat RDA who had a bad weight cut and had fainted before the fight.
Him becoming champ was nothing but luck & UFCs benevolence .Because he matched up well with Conor UFC pushed him as hard as they could. Khabib, Tony would've killed Eddie also.
The only good victories Connor has is over FW Aldo and short notice Mendes.

That fight was almost FIVE years ago.
Think about that.
At that exact time, Charles Oliveira was a medocre FW fighter, just having been finished by Ricardo Lamas...

I’m feeling a Decision win for Dustin this time around. He wins Rounds 3-5 via having the superior endurance and fundamentals. Heck he could win Round 2 and cruise to a comfy 49-46.

Prior to their second fight, I predicted Conor would win. I was rooting for Dustin, but it seemed like Conor had a significant stylistic advantage. Even afterwards, I believe that Conor still has that same advantage, so for me, it all comes down to Conor's motivation. I'm on the side that says that Conor's lost his hunger for competition, and he's only doing this fight for the ego boost and attention. I think it'll be closer than their last fight, but Dustin still wins.

I think Conors LW record needs some context
He went up against 3 champs, he was only an active fighter for one of them.
Justin Gaethje for example is 0-3 against Conors LW opponents(all finishes) Conor didn’t get the privilege of padding his LW record by beating yeh likes of Duffy, post usada Miller, post usada Pettis, Bobby green, Mederois etc
He was thrown straight in the deep end and has stayed there throughout. Win or lose I wanna see Conor vs other top 10 LWs to give a better reflection of where he stands.

If Dustin begins pulling ahead I seriously doubt Conor lasts 25 minutes. He gets too gassed and will wither away and whenDustin smells blood, he attacks at any moment. Don’t see Dustin winning a decision tbh

It was certainly an amazing performance, it was also his peak as a fighter. Peak focus, peak motivation, etc. 5 years later he's a very different fighter and all of those things seem to have wained. I got Dustin by KO/TKO in 3rd or 4th.

Just an excuse to get Connor another TS.

Connor will lose this, take time off come back win one meaningless fight and get another TS.

Hopefully Connor gets KTFO again and goes away forever.

I agree, Conor was really lucky to match with Eddie in a title fight, Conor matches perfectly with Eddie, other than Eddie I don't see Conor winning against other ranked lightweights at the time.

Eddie got KOed by a guy named Timofey in a non-UFC tournament right after leaving UFC, and Chandler also finished him in Bellator, Eddie has so many losses in his career, even when he came to UFC he already had 3 losses, and the first thing he did in UFC was losing to Cowboy Cerrone. I don't know what your talking about Eddie's prime...

Was Eddie a top 10 material in LW division? Perhaps.

Was Eddie a top 5 material in LW division? No way. As others said, him beating RDA was lucky and due to RDA having issues with weight cutting before the fight, plus Eddie's style is perfect for Conor to beat. Eddie is a defensive wrestler, who counter hits, Conor does zero wrestling, and he is a better counter puncher plus he had better reach than Eddie. If Conor fought RDA or Tony, let alone Khabib, he could never get that title. It's even arguable that if he fought Nate Diaz for the third time he could win or not.

Both Conor and Eddie were lucky to be in that UFC Lightweight title fights, they were top 10 fighters at best in LW division, they weren't even top 5 at the time. Conor was coming from a loss against no.7 ranked Nate Diaz in LW division, and it's even arguable that he even won against Nate Diaz in the rematch.
