Their first fight it was fairly obvious that Lesnar was going to be too green to use his wrestling effectively and would get caught in a submission.

The second fight everyone knew how furious Lesnar was with Mir's trash talking, and with his additional experience he'd likely avoid getting caught in another submission, and ground and pound Mir into a living death.

Any other fights you can think of where the collective called the way the fight would play out?

I love Mir, but this picture of him being fed snozberries is etched into my mind:

Mir was shook after the beating he took in the first fight. I have a hard time believing the skill gap between the two is that large as it was in the 2nd fight.

Not that many people predicted Lesnar to smash Mir like that iirc. Mir was in the best shape of his life fresh off of arguably his best performances and the mma community as a whole were still l33t martial arts lifestyle nerds who thought brute strength didn't matter because respect honor and technique were what fighting was about and that Brock was just a juiced up can. Ufc 100 was basically the end of the martial arts myth that strength didn't matter

Also shortly after ufc 100 is when the TRT Era started where everyone wanted to be juiced up cans and then you started seeing guys come out of nowhere and skyrocket to the top of their divisions on roid power. It was a great time to be a fan

IDK, some people were just so enamored with Brock's muscles that they could not picture him EVER losing to anyone. "Brock by donkey kong" was a frequent prediction before Cain and Overeem demolished him with ease.

The last time I remember seeing title fights feeling like everyone knew what the outcome was going to be was when DC fought Anderson, Oezdemir, and Lewis. In Anderson's defense, he took that fight on 24 hour notice, but I don't think anybody expected Lewis and Oezdemir to win.

Brock was a -200 favorite in the first fight. Just saying. I don't remember the general consensus on the first one, I remember most thought Brock would win the 2nd.

That was casual fans. The majority of hardcores hated him and picked against him in every fight.

Lesnar got in the game late with so little training. He’d be HW GOAT if he went from ncaa wrastlin’ into mma training I do believe
Lesnar's ability is criminally underrated, always was.

On his day, before the sickness and those pesky USADA douchebags happened, he was the baddest man... And he could also sell a fight... Everyone still remembers Brocktober. He brought the circus, the spectacle, and the amount of glamour to make it feel like the fight actually mattered.

What Dana wouldn't give for another Brock.

I went to UFC 100. Bet on Mir after the weigh ins. Dude was in the best shape I've ever seen him in. In hindsight wish I put money on Coleman who was a 4-1 dog against Bonner since I thought he had a good chance win with his wrestling which he did.
