Michael Chandler has a ‘sixth sense’, it protects him from submissions

Sixth sense or not Khabib would still steamroll him imho

But he is retired now so Chandler may actually have a chance to win the belt

In all fairness Oliviera has been subbed several times from guillotines to kneebars.

and Oliviera has the better submission skills. So it’s a sixth sense. Or 7th or 4th or 5th sense.
Or however many there are can’t feel or hear so I don’t keep track of any of the other senses and I always refused to acknowledge or learn most.

“I’ve got kind of a sixth sense when it comes to the ground game to not be submitted. The best way I would like to go out there and finish him is just to hit him as hard as I can numerous times on the feet. Keep the fight standing, put him in panic mode, knock him out in the first round."

I can relate.
Many years ago, I had just started doing judo.
My main teacher had some erands so we got another long time bb to teach us.
He said he was sure we had done thows and trips and that but he wanted to rotate the beginners this evening to try to submit him on the ground. I think they got 10 or 5 minutes each, I forget which.

Nobody came close. He only defended.
Then I was called up.
I got him in a tight crucifix and he gave up.
Next time I was called up, he went 100%
I ended up with him in a body triangle and choked him.

As he was catching his breath, he said he was sure I had a bjj background.
I had none at that time.

He never came back, I kept training for 2+ years and was sent straight away to train with only bb class. Got thrown around for those years (threw a few bb ippon points) they got laughed at but on the ground I never got submitted.

Dang. I was rooting for Chandler but guess he is going to get RNCed like the rest of Henry Hoofs guys.
