I'm convinced that Nunes knows Valentina, who arguably beat her in the second fight, and was competitive in the first, could walk with her hand raised in victory in a trilogy bout and wants no part of Bullet.

Valentina is humble in saying it'll happen when it happens, but I think she should beat some sense into Nunes sooner rather than later. Bullet needs to put the Lioness down.

Sherdog really needs to retire this "____ arguably beat _____". This is nonsense. You either win, you lose, you had a close fight, or you got robbed. If I can "arguably" claim that Valentina won, then I can also "arguably" claim Amanda did. It's a useless statement.
The fights were competitive. I wouldn't mind seeing a trilogy. And Nunes said if the UFC wanted it, she'd do it.

But there isn't a lot of incentive in it for Amanda. She is the double champ. She retired 2 of the future female legends (from UFC). And she already has wins against Valentina. Why should she be excited to fight the same girl 3 times ?

Well it does basically say "there was no clear winner".

It is one of the sillier things in MMA when you have the fanbase of a certain fighter running around like a kid on a suger rush claiming dominance over an opponent their fighter won a pick em decision against.

Those kinds of fights for me are essentially draws in all but name.

nunes to good for Mrs Check Hook

"“If Dana White calls me saying I´ll fight next Valentina, or any other fighter, be sure that I´ll be ready to defend my title,” Nunes said."

Oh, look, she is perfectly willing to fight her again. I love all these keyboard warriors saying a professional fighter is scared. Just because you are a bitch does not mean everyone else is. Grow the fuck up.

Nunes knows what it is like to lose, she also knows what it is like to face larger, stronger competition and knows what it is like to fight Shevchenko having done so and won, twice. But yeah, she is scared.

If your only goal in life is to shit on fighters you are not a fan, just a punk.

Nunes beat her twice. If u watch the second fight, where do u give it to Shev?

I do not and I am a Shevchenko fan. Shevchenko and/or her team failed in several areas:
1. She did not bother to check Amanda's leg kicks. Sure, they were light but in a fight where very few strikes are thrown every strike counts even more.
2. She waited to counter too much. I know she did not want to get over-powered, but her low strike output also cost her.
3. Going for a takedown in R5. She even said this was a mistake. And Amanda was on top as the round ended.

I get that. There truly are fights that could have gone one way or the other, and as time goes on, those close fights may get wrongly remembered as clear wins/beatdowns.

The "____arguably won" is just a Sherdog pet peeve of mine. It's used too often.
And it's usually just used as a way to say that " ____ didn't really win. ".

Nunes beat twice. It changes nothing if she wins a third fight because everyone will blame it on size anyways.
Nope. Valentina won 2nd fight. Corrupt judges saying otherwise doesn’t change that fact.

Valentina will pummel Nunes. Nunes has nothing except a pointless takedown with 0 top damage where Valentina landed more shots from the ground.

Nunes has 2 paper 'wins' over Shevchenko, the only kind of win that matters at the end of one's career. She has nothing to gain by risking getting killed by Shevchenko in a rerematch

I suspect it might well happen in the end though as I think the appetite for seeing either of them beating opponents easily is starting to dry up.

If Val did win a 3rd match I think they could easily sell a 4th.

Which she certainly will.

Nunes is basically a man sized “woman” submitting petite females.

Valentina is the p4p WMMA GOAT and BOAT. Nunes has absolutely nothing on her.

Have you watched the first fight?
Nunes had clear domination in the first round that was a 10-8 round, She almost came close to finish Shevchenko, Second round was a clear 10-9 round for her as well, but in the third she kind of faded out but Valentin didn't anything worthwhile in that round.

That was a clear 29-27 win for Amanda, SO stop rewriting history.
