I don't disagree, but Usman talking like that then fighting Masvidal is laughable.

Masvidal had beaten number 2,5, and 6 ranked welterweights before stepping in for burns on a weeks notice, at that time colby was still recovering from his broken jaw and leon last win was against rda in july 2019 that same very month masvidal fought a higher ranked opponent than leon.
Masvidal has the strongest case in the top 5

I'm not saying Colby's win over Woodley should necessarily grant him a rematch, just that Masvidal's rematch has to be the most non-sensical rematch we've ever witnessed. I honestly think Woodley would beat Jorge, btw.

Askren ranked 5 (Edwards fought number 6 ranked rda that month, and that was his last win)
Burns just got finished and colby has one win over woodley since.
Masvidals only loss in two years is short notice against usman...
And it was his weakest defense.

Sure , but you should know fighters at the higher levels need proper training to showcase their abilities. Especially their confidence knowing their body can push past their limits when condition. That probably hampered masdival full potential fight night

He didn't really take any damage from Usman who was fully prepared physically . I still think usman going to beat him but the fight probably will be closer.
