Not who do you think would win in a fight or who has more skills, just who do you think had the better career as it stands right now between the two.

GSP has obviously beaten more ranked and top guys.

Due to a combination of injuries and earlier retirement Khabib did not get to the same resume depth.
Oh well, still a very good career.

As much as I like Khabib, if we're just talking about their accomplishments as a fighter, it's GSP.

You mean who was the actual GOAT? <45>

The better and more skilled fighter, of course.

I'll take the better fighter over the guy with the longer resume any day.

I mean, one won 13 UFC title fights and the other won 4. If you're talking strictly from a career accomplishment perspective, it's a pretty obvious answer.

GSP has better resume but he missed out on money fight era except for his one with Bisping. By no means I am saying he isn't living poorly. I am just saying Khabib probably made in a few title defenses what GSP made his whole career.
Even in terms of name recognition, I don't think most mainstream folks will remember GSP after another 5-10 years. 3 million followers vs roughly 28 million on social media?

It's not even remotely debatable. Khabib had a good career, and is a great fighter.

But GSP had a legendary career and is arguably the GOAT.

9 title defenses vs 3 title defenses

Won the belt in another division vs didn't win a belt in another division.

Khabib is one of the best to ever do it. But GSP fought top level guys from early in his career till the end. Khabib started fighting legit competition in maybe his 18th pro fight. The rest are random russian bums with no Wikipedia page.

GSP reigned over his division for years. Consistently selling tons of PPVs and had the pressure of being champ for a long time. Khabib's reign hasn't been half that long.

Just stop with these comparisons everytime a great fighter comes around. Khabib will go down as a legend. But GSP's career is simply far superior.

Pretty ridiculous question lol. Khabib had 3 title defenses. Love Khabib but man, some fans these days are so thick.

Since they never fought we'll never actually know who the better fighter is/was. So we go off the 2 resumes, GSP wins hands down. Can't be playing with ifs and buts here pal.

Years in the game (at the highest levels) matter...you have no idea of what may have happened to a fighter who fights 5 years and retires. While we have a pretty solid snap-shot of a fighter who fought 10+ years.

Note the years are examples...not referencing either fighter.
