Media GIFs - Islam's takedowns against Dober

Dober is tailor made for Islam decent name on a good run, good striker but not so good wrestler. Sambo is combining the best of wrestling and Judo really hard to stop a takedown from those guys, you might stop the initial shot but won't stop the follow up chain takedowns.
 
I wish he were more confident in his striking, his technique is good but he seems to lack confidence there. Other than that, Makachev is a top 3 lightweight in terms of pure talent and skills.
 
Would love to see him vs Oliveira later on. Tony should get a more winnable fight rn but if they go for that for his next fight it is cool, gives tony a chance to get khabib's attention, at least.
 
He certainly doesn't telegraph his takedowns like Khabib.
 
I love the approach, from a fighters stance you always got a single leg, yet they are easy to defend. The way he uses it as the entry to the chain is where its at

His defense is terrible and nowhere near Khabibs. Ramos rocked him, Martins obviously KOd him stiff. Makhachev is extremely skilled but he lacks the athleticism, chin, explosiveness and raw physical talent of Khabib
